Welcome! This web resource documents the ongoing restoration of the Mount Prospect Historical Societyâs 1896 one-room Central School. The school is among Mount Prospectâs oldest and most historic buildings.
After more 15 years of continuous fundraising, the building has moved to the Societyâs museum campus, and is FINALLY finished.
The goal of the Mount Prospect Historical Society is to again fulfill its historic roles of education center, community gathering space, and historic treasure.
