Mini Golf Clip Art Words on WhiteCome visit us at the 18-hole miniature golf course Library fundraiser. The Mount Prospect Historical Society will be sponsoring the 15th hole for the Central School.  This unique adventure will have golfers putting throughout the Library, between the stacks, and down the stairs. 19th Hole entertainment area for players with refreshments, entertainment, games, and activities. This event is a fundraiser for the Mount Prospect Public Library Foundation (MPPLF). The MPPLF provides funding to the Library for special programs and projects that are otherwise unattainable with tax dollars.

Attend the fifth annual Mount Prospect Historical Society’s History in the Headlines dinner, “A Celebration of the Golden Age of Hollywood.”  Chose the steak dinner for $75 or the chicken and pasta buffet for $30.  Actress Leslie Goddard will present her one-woman show on Bette Davis after dinner.  Everyone is welcome to dress casually or elegantly and even wear clothing of the 1930s and 1940s.  Seating is limited and may be reserved individually or in tables of ten.  Reservations required on a first-come first-served basis.  No tickets will be sold at the door.  For more information or to purchase tickets via PayPal, visit mtphist.org or call 847/392-9006.

It’s that time of year … think spring cleaning!  The Historical Society will once again participate in the Community Garage Sale.  We’re seeking items for the sale such as small appliances, dishes, decorative items, furniture, etc.  We’ll be collecting garage sale items the last week in April.  If you have items you’d like to donate, please bring them to the museum.  (Be sure to call first to make sure someone’s here.)
