Save Up Your Change!

FOR TRICK OR TREATERS
IN MOUNT PROSPECT

The schoolchildren of selected schools in Mount Prospect are being encouraged to “Trick or Treat for Central School” on Halloween, using decorated milk containers from the school cafeteria.

pumpkin-1The money collected will go toward the effort to restore the 1896 one-room school so that in the near future, schoolchildren in the area can enjoy an authentic one-room school experience in the structure.

So the public is being asked to stockpile their change to contribute to the children’s efforts.  And if you haven’t used up all of that change by the end of the night, Jill Friedrichs, co-chairman of the Save Central School fund-raising effort, suggests that you take your left-over quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies (and dollars, of course!) to the collection jugs in the Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson Street, or the Mount Prospect Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson St.

Participating schools:

Fairview Elementary School
Indian Grove Elementary School
Lincoln Middle School
Lions Park Elementary School
Prospect High School
St. Paul Lutheran School
