Keepin’ The Restoration Rollin’ along!

blackfinnposter2BlackFinn American Grille at 157 Randhurst Village Drive is helping the Mount Prospect Historical Society to restore a local American icon and open it for public and school tours in the future.  The popular local eatery and pub is holding a benefit on Friday, June 13, to raise funds for the ongoing restoration of the 1896 one-room Central Schoolhouse, the first building built for Mount Prospect School District 57. 

The June 13 fundraiser will begin at 8:30 p.m. and run until 10:30 p.m.  Admission to the event to be held in BlackFinn’s saloon area will be $20 which will include tickets for two drinks per person and appetizers.  All admission revenues will go to the Central Schoolhouse effort with BlackFinn donating the food and drinks, according to Julie Johnson, sales and marketing manager for BlackFinn Mount Prospect.

Residents are also invited to meet and get to know the Society’s new executive director, Lindsay Rice.

Hifi Superstar Rock GroupEntertainment during the event will be provided by HiFi Superstar, a Chicago-based rock/pop group known for their 1970s look and original music.  Music will begin at 9 p.m.
